Classic Pilates Center is a female owned small business in Wixom, MI. Our passion for the Pilates method is evident in how we teach, practice, and promote it within our community. You won't find large, watered down Pilates lessons here. No instructors on stage yelling into a mic. No top 40s music to distract your workout. We offer intimate sessions that focus on achieving results. We do only classical Pilates and we do it well.
As a classical studio, we follow the original teachings of Joseph H. Pilates. Therefore, our teaching focus is on individuals and small groups. Pilates described his functional exercise system as "the art of controlled movements" and designed many pieces of apparatus to assist with his work. We are proud to have a studio that is equipped with Gratz equipment- the same brand Pilates used himself!
This classical method of stretching, strengthening, and controlling one's body with one's mind has endless possibilities. Our goal is for every participant to apply what they learn in our studio to their lifestyle. We value progression over perfection. We strive for knowledge and strength. We are a place to learn and grow. And we have fun while doing it!
Each studio instructor holds a classical Pilates certification and takes pride in growing her Pilates knowledge. We practice what we preach! It's not uncommon to see an instructor join a studio class or to witness instructors teaching each other. Our instructor team works as a close knit community and looks forward to sharing our Pilates passion with everyone that walks through our door. See you at the center!
